Alexandra is an accomplished writer and communications specialist with 25 years of experience in developing and implementing public relations strategies that drive engagement, enhance visibility, and deliver measurable results for organisations across the education and training,  small business development, engineering 

Since 2015, she has predominantly worked in healthcare, supporting clients involved in the prevention and management of infectious, zoonotic and non-communicable diseases.  

She possesses an excellent understanding of the critical health challenges facing South Africa and other Low- and Middle-Income Countries as well as the role of clinical research in improving standards of care and influencing treatment guidelines.

Her work has seen her travel to rural districts to interview healthcare workers and patients; promote centers of excellence in private health facilities; and position leading clinicians and researchers positively in the public domain. She has secured media coverage worth millions of Rands for her clients, with several of her written stories published on USAID platforms.

Her diverse skill set includes research and writing, editing, media relations, design instruction, newsletters, social media management, publication development, audio-visual content production, and community engagement.

Alexandra’s passion for her work is deeply rooted in her commitment to social justice. She also assists clients in engaging with government to ensure access to essential medicines for chronic conditions and uphold standards of care.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991, has completed short courses in digital marketing and graphic design, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree.
